Work sent me the garnishment paperwork. I have yet to receive anything from the court/sheriff/plaintiff's
The way wage garnishment works is that the employer gets served without you knowing about it in advance.
The order was signed by the court on May 11, sent to the Sheriff's dept for execution, sent to an agent to carry out the execution in Anaheim. I see no paperwork attached showing domestication,
You will not see the word "domesticated" on anything.
But the fact that the garnishment was ordered by a CA court means that it WAS domesticated, which is just a way of registering the action with the CA court to give CA authority over enforcing the judgment.
Pay the debt in full and the wage garnishment goes away.
