I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was in an unnamed chain drugstore/convenience store and made my way to the bathroom. As I am in there I realize that right above the toilet is a two-camera unit comparable in size to a smoke detector right above the toilet. Now this is a publicly accessible toilet, it is in the rear of the store and there are multiple signs depicting a bathroom available for handicap use. I planned on making a purchase at this store so I made my way to the bathroom and found it unlocked. They did not have the item I sought so I left but didn't feel right about a video being taken of me in an area where I would expect to have a reasonable expectation to privacy. I cannot find a law or statute addressing this concern on my own and would like to seek legal counsel. I do not know if the video is of any consequence but I would like to discuss this matter with legal counsel sooner rather than later. Please advise me on my next course of action.
