Is the 30 hour cut off point as to definition of a part time worker under Obamacare a clean line in the sand or are there exceptions where some part time workers must be treated as eligible?
Specifically, with a little bit of creative scheduling one could convert most if not all public school teaching jobs into positions that require Max of 29 hours a week and still maintain the same quality(or lack) of educational service delivery which in many places is about 1000 hours a year.
I raise the question because teachers who routinely work less than 1250 hrs a year are regarded as FT in some other contexts such as FMLA. .
That could drop upwards of $5-10 Million out of my local tax burden IF it can be done, far more than the possible savings debate over unfunded defined pension benefits reforms.....
