    Spousal Support

Can someone help me figure out what to ask for (and what is fair) for spousal support.  My husband and I have been together for 15 years and have been married for 12 years.  We have 3 children together which he pays below guideline support of 1550.00 per month.  We were both making really good money while together.  Right now he is making 70K and I am on workers comp due to an injury at work.  I am perminately retired from work and am getting about 30K.

I want to ask for 1/2 of his retirement and a good amount of spousal support.  How do I figure this out?

Drew is right, you need to find yourself a really good lawyer.

I was married for over 14 years, and my ex wanted alimony for life.

In my case, what she ended up getting was lump sum of $50,000.

She wanted $3000/month in alimony forever.

Wanting something and getting it can be quite different.

a good lawyer is what you need!
