    No facts

How can anyone respond when you provide no facts?

Why are you owed the money? Why is this posted under criminal law?

    I still don't understand.

You were charged with a crime (DUI). What does that have to do with anyone owing you money?

    Re: No facts

No. The state is not going to pay any of your legal costs.

You should be asking your attorney about the speedy trial issue.

    Re: recovering funds

You demand a speedy trial.  The case can't be continued without the defendant's consent, potentially through his attorney, unless it is over his objection.

Tell your attorney to get it to trial.

    Re: recovering funds

States have requirements ( laws) that defendants be brought to trial within a certain amount of time, generally excluding the time that the defendant's attorney asks for continuances with certain time excludable if the state asks for continuances or are not ready to proceed ( but not all);  the case can be dismissed if the case is pending and not ready to proceed to trial when over that time;  only your attorney will be able to answer those questions for you.
