Adding content to a webpage using a toolbar

We are creating a toolbar that will add content to the current webpage being viewed. I've seen this done many times (especially google search results), but I would like to know the full surrounding issues.

    Thank you,

    JA

Adding content to a website that is not our IP.   Sorry, perhaps my question is unclear:

Our toolbar will add links to the current website being viewed. This is often in the body of the website.  If had a website and were re-distributing otherss content I assume there would be legal issues. But, we change the content after it has reached the user's computer. Does this help?

    Thank you.

Help me visualize what happens. I'm not the brightest bulb in the fixture when it comes to website construction.

I'm on your website and I see a link to lawyers.com (for example).

I click on that link and it brings me to lawyers.com where I can do all the stuff that I do if I go direct to lawyers.com.

I don't see any legal issues there.

Are you saying you can change what I'm seeing on lawyers.com when I get there through your website?

That's the part that confuses me when you write that you can change content after it reaches my computer.

When you go to lawyers.com, your computer grabs the web page and stores it on your hard drive, then it displays on your monitor.  This is what normally happens.

We are going to alter that page after it is on your hard drive, but before it views on your screen. Does that help?

    Thank you,

    Wow.

I suddenly flashed back to the Control Voice:

    • We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image; make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear.

    OK.

But for what purpose are you altering the page and how are you altering it?

Personally I don't add tool bars to  my pc and when I do find them I remove them because of security reasons.
