Complaints against a judge normally don't go anywhere.
The attorney normally has control over what witnesses to call. Not all witnesses are proper witnesses in a trial. For instance, most of my clients want to put their mommy on to testify that they would never do whatever it is they are charged with - that they are wonderful altar boys who wouldn't hurt a fly. Such testimony allows the state to put on evidence of "bad character" like most of the client's bar fight priors and such.
What was your daughter convicted of and what were these people going to testify about?
