I am writing this for my husband who is confused about his upcoming visitation. He and his ex-wife have been divorced 4 years and this is the first time a situation like this has come up. In the divorce papers it does not specify a certain visitation schedule for Easter Weekend. This year Easter Weekend happens to fall during my husband's "Period of Possession." However, the children are also out of school the Thursday before Easter and the "good Friday" before Easter. In my husband's papers his weekly visiation has been modified from Thursday 6-8 to Wednesday 6-8:30. Can my husband legally keep his children from Wedneday 6:00 until SUnday at 6:00. This is his weekend, we just aren't sure if he can keep them Wed-Friday ... the kids dont have school Thursday or Friday. If anyone can clear this up I would GREATLY appreciate the help. His ex-wife enforces ALL rules of the custody agreement. He is allowed no extra time with his children and her new husband does not allow her to communicate with my husband. Seriously, if we arrive at 5:55 to pick up the kids we stand on the doorstep until 6:00. Working something out between them is not an option. He never sees her becasue her new husband is at the house when my husband picks up/drops off the kids. She refuses to return calls, texts, or e-mails. We want to follow the rules, but also dont want to lose time with the kids. Any advice???
