My mother died last week from septic poisoning. She had been seeing a urologist for a UTI since February. He prescribed so many antibiotics, plus injections of antibiotics, (approx 12-16 different doses) that all the good bacteria in her body was destroyed and c-diff(bad bacteria) took over. Sometimes he just called in new antibiotics without seeing her. When she called him about the cramping and diarrhea, he told her to call her primary care physician. She was admitted immediately and died 2 weeks later. The doctors in the hospital said nothing they were doing was working. My mother was not a "I'm going to sue you" type person, but made all us promise we would not let this go. Any suggestions, guidance?
