Question [=?] Change Title of my car out of my deceased fathers name

My car and car loan is in my fathers name and I would like to get it taken out of his name. But my father is deceased and I’m having trouble getting it out of his name and into mine. The bank told me that I cannot do any changes until it is paid off.  I do not know what else I can do, any suggestions?

Appears that the bank is correct.

Here's the procedure right from the Maryland DMV.

This may get even more complicated if you have to probate your father's estate.

Did he die with or without a will? Did he leave a surviving spouse? Any other children besides you? How much is his estate worth?
