Question [=?] Termination of parental rights - reversal?

Is there a legal way to regain parental rights or visitation after termination?

(I'll spare everyone the long story unless it's necessary)

After the ( normally) 30 days you have to appeal a decision- no.

I'm open to a discussion about options.

I'm looking for some way to restore visitation/contact.

    Please advise

If the court terminated your parental rights, normally it would do so because the other parent re-married and had a new spouse adopt.

But you haven't made it clear that a court has actually terminated your parental rights here or, if so, under what circumstances it did so. Termination of parental rights is the most drastic of steps, and I cannot imagine that if you fought this termination and it was still ordered that you'd have beyond the normal appeal period (who knows if it is 30 days) to appeal the decision/do anything about it.

You'd need to discuss options, if any, with a local family law attorney.

re: Termination of parental rights - reversal?

    Here's my question:

I signed a voluntary termination of parental rights here in Oregon, and am now wanting to get my rights back because the prospective adoptive parent (my maternal aunt) is abusing my son. The adoption has not been finalized yet (to my knowledge).

How can I get my rights back?

According to state law, there is generally a period of time within which one can revoke their voluntary termination consents. Beyond that period of time, you no longer have any "standing" or rights to assert or participate in any proceedings or take any position as you no longer are considered the child's parent. I don't know if oregon has open adoptions or you were given any rights post termination;  you would need to consult local counsel as to any further rights oregon may confer .
