I have a really neat app idea. It's similar to Kodi, but with some crucial differences. It allows members to share media simply by sharing their media folder. When accessed, the media content located in the media folder is buffered onto a media server (as with an infrastructure similar to Plex media server). The media content is spliced into 10 second media clips, and streamed out to the member that accessed the media content. The app doesn't allow for any uploading, downloading, or recording of media content.
So my question is, does this infrastructure infringe on any copyrights, or constitute piracy by allowing members to view/hear tv/movie/audio/image media content made available by other members without any media distribution of any form?
