    IL Alimony

    Here is the situation -

Divorced in 2011 - Court ordered to pay Alimony for 3 years (reviewable)

Filed to Terminate in 2014 - Court ordered to pay Alimony for 3 more years (reviewable)

Filed to Terminate in 2017 - Court ordered to pay Alimony for 3 more years (terminates)

Both parties filled out Financial Affadavit forms.

Husband pays $800 per month in Alimony, which laves him with nothing.  While wife is saving more.

Can the $800 a month somehow be lowered?

Yes. Perhaps your next motion would be a motion to terminate or reduce alimony.

In the orig divorce it should have been stated aslimony ends at a date with no extention. Of course she is going to try and get it for as long as possible. I would imagine he needs to submit to have it lowered.
