    New York: Guardianship vs Conservatorship

Is there any difference between the two?

May a conservatorship be acquired more quickly.

    Thanks for your help!

Feedback [*=*] re: New York: Guardianship vs Conservatorship

Guardianship is over the person. The guardian may decide such issues as where the person will live (i.e., at home with caretakers or in a nursing home), where the person will receive medical care, whether medical care should be ceased, etc. Conservatorship is over the person's finances. The conservator will manage the person's finances and pay the bills, including bills submitted by the guardian for care.
