    Unemployement Tenn.

Son applied for unemployment on March 3 the decision wasn't made until May 15th and it said he was eligible for benefits back to the March 3rd date. He finally got a check 2 weeks later. The check was for the last week in May only. He started working on June 1st and hasn't certified since then because the last week of May was the last week he was eligible for benefits. They did state he was due more money but so far nothing for the overdue benefits. Unable to get through via phone at all. Any suggestions. Don't understand if he was approved why they only gave him one benefit check.

    Re: Unemployement Tenn.

If his unemployment system is as screwed up as here in AZ he's just going to have to resign himself to sitting on hold till he gets through even if it takes a couple of hours.

Or he can visit an unemployment office and try his luck there but he's still going to have to invest several hours just to get to talk to somebody.

It's happening to everybody everywhere. If you hang up after 10 or 15 or 30 minutes you lose.
