    SHORTSALE

My house has approved a shortsale. However, I find it confusing that I cannot refinance at the sale price the bank is willing to take, I would easily make he payments at shortsale price. Is there way I could get the bank to negotiate with me to stay in the property at shortsale price?

You can't make them do anything, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

As a realtor who has done many SS it sounds like your bank has NOT approved a sale. I believe they said they will entertain offers. You must have a contract(offer) from a buyer before a bank gives the yes or no. If the offer price is too low they will not accept it. Short sales are not DIY projects unless you have a great deal of RE knowledge. Your need a realtor/attorney skilled in SS. Many realtors specialize in them.

    Good Luck!
