I'VE BEEN ON MEDICAID SINCE 2007 DUE TO MY DISABILITY. EVERY SIX MONTHS I RENEW MY MEDICAID, BUT SINCE FEB 2009 TIL MAY 30TH . I'VE ONLY HAD MEDICAID FOR 4MONTH DEPARTMENT OF HUMAND SERVICES ACKNOWLEDGES THAT.
I ONLY HAD MEDICAID FOR 4 MONTHS. INSTEAD OF RENEWEL THEY ARE MAKING ME REAPPLY IN SEPTEMBER . IS THIS FAIR?
Please turn off the caps. It's against the rules of this site, it's hard to read, the equivalent of shouting, and just plain annoying.
Fair has nothing to do with it.
Were you told WHY you had to reapply in 4 months instead of 6?
Did you ask?
"Fair" has nothing to do with it and this isn't a Civil Rights issue. The government can require you to renew your Medicaid on what ever schedule they see fit and you have to give them the documentation they require if you want to remain on Medicaid. Those are the rules and they can change them when ever and as often as the circumstances warrant. If they suspect there is any change in your status (especially income, disability rating, or working) they are going to require you to renew your application more often. If you don't like the rules then don't use Medicaid, you have the option to seek private insurance for your medical needs.
