    Constant Delaying Tactics

Hi, my xwife and her lawyer have been delaying trial for 3 years.   Her attorney has had 3 exparte based on lies to delay the trial date.

Now, the trial is set for 1st of sept, she suddenly aquired a New lawyer which could delay the trial once more.  she has told me in the past that she would do this to keep the settlement money from being disburrsed.

What can I do to stop this nonsense.  I want to tell my attorney i will not allow her for further continuences on this trial date, would this work?

Do I have to personally ask the Judge to put a time limit?

You can probably ask  your attorney to do a letter to the judge ( copies to all parties) that while he understands that wife has obtained new counsel,  it would be the expectation that the hearing would proceed on the 1st given the number of previous continuances  granted to the wife and the delay in the proceedings.Only your attorney would know what was appropriate to do in your circumstance.
