How to get pornagraphic pictures of myself off a website?

I made the stupid mistake of videotaping sex with someone I trusted a long time ago under the verbal promise that it was "just for us" and would never be shown to anyone. A year later, he had some beef with my new significant other and decided to publish the tape all over the net. I've spent seven months begging, pleading and threatening websites to take it down. I got all of it down except for still pictures that were extracted from the video and published on a website called encyclopediadramatica....

The page is encyclopediadramatica.... You can see numerous shots of me there, face absolutely identifiable. I understand I screwed up and I've been lectured to death and called every name in the book so many times I'm completely worn down. I've tried to just get over it, but my significant other is not taking this lightly and is demanding I find a way to get it off that site. I don't want to sue, but I don't know what else to do to stop getting yelled at and get my life back to normal again. It's destroyed my family and my social life as completely as possible.

I've heard different ideas pertaining to similar situations, such as a tort claim for invasion of privacy, or filing an injunction prohibiting the publishing of pictures. I'm living off about 650 dollars per month so it's going to be slow obtaining the money to do whatever I have to do. But I will do anything at this point. Seriously.. I will do just about anything. I'm tired.

The reality is that once something is on the internet it's there forever and there isn't likely to be anything you can do about it.

I suggest that you and your "other" develop thicker skins and move on.

Your little sex tape on the internet is the equivalent of a grain of sand on the beach with only the two of you making anything of it.

Yes, I understand this and I do agree with both of you. I do. The thing is my boyfriend is demanding I find a way to get those pictures off that website, and it's not ending any time soon. So I have to find a way, whether it's legal or in a more imaginative, out of the box type of way.

I have a different view than the others. It is true that it is his tape and he's free to show it as he pleases for non commercial purposes, that's not the end of it. You agreed to making the tape on the condition that it not be viewed by anyone other than the two of you. It appears to me that there is a contract here, and by showing the tape to others he has breached the contract. That may give you a claim for damages or give you the possibility of seeking injunctions to prevent further breaches of the contract. I suggest you see a lawyer that litigates civil claims, and in particular contract claims, for what you may be able to do.

But be aware of one thing. If you take it to court, the tape likely becomes evidence in the case and if it goes to trial could be seen by the judge, jury, courtroom staff and public observers. You would need to be willing to put up with that if you go that route.

Your boyfriend needs to understand that the best thing is to ignore them until they die a natural death. Any legal action will put the video into the public record..

I don't think I can give up quite so easily even though it may be impossibe or absolutely stupid. Thanks for your advice that the tape would become evidence in court. I honestly didn't even think about that one, and I should have. It's a given. There is a lot I'm thinking about these days. When you mess up the one thing that's important in your life, there seems to be a natural shift for the brain to rethink everything you've ever known or believed in. My time to do that has finally come, I suppose.
