    "remember this computer" feature

One thing that might help with the "timeout" feature, in addition to eliminating redundant log-ins in general, is to have a "remember this computer" feature added to the site (with an "opt-in" element. of course).  Would love to see it if it's possible!

    Me too.

Seems possible on every other forum except this one.

It may work for some people but not everyone uses the same computer when they log in on this site and if you clean your cookies and internet history like you should on a regular basis that function may not do you any good.

Depends on what you mean by "regular basis". A week? Two weeks? More?

If I didn't have to log in several times a day, I'd take it.

Me too!  Yes, folks should clean cookies out every so often, but this can also be done on a selective basis (or once you log in again, you're good until the next time).  I believe my yahoo account keeps me "logged in" for 2-3 weeks before it asks me for a PW again.
