Should I give up on this short sale?
I have a second property of whom I lost my tenant and can't afford any longer due to paycuts, children etc. It orginally was my residence, but I got married and could not sell it and rented it for a while. I have not paid the Mortgage since June 2009. I also listed it as a short sale. I have an offer on it (for over 3 months now). I filed all the

Fighting over who provides health insurance - courts input?
Hello, I am the non-custodial parent of a ten year old girl who has remarried and have three other children of my own. My ex has not remarried and is single. I have to provide through my employment a family health insurance plan for my current wife, three kids and myself. My ex can either choose to buy single health insurance or employee plus 1. I currently

Massachusetts foreclosure - need attorney - deficiency?
I am a current homeowner with a second home that I have lost my rental income and tenant. I owe more than the property is worth. Even if I could find another tenant, I am losing over $8k a year on this property. It used to be my residence but then I got married and tried to sell it two years ago before marriage with no luck. My wife and I bought the

Re: Losing Tenant on 2nd home - have to foreclose
I found this information. So, does this mean I am all set and they can't come after me for a deficiency? (see below) Is there a right of redemption in Massachusetts? No. A deficiency judgment may not be generally obtained when a property in foreclosure is sold at a public sale for less than the loan amount which the underlying mortgage secures unless

Re: Losing Tenant on 2nd home - have to foreclose
I live in Massachusetts. How do I find out if my loan is non-recourse or recourse? I think all loans in Massachusetts are non-recourse. Am I correct?

Losing Tenant on 2nd home - have to foreclose
I have owned a condo for 4 years. For the first two years I lived in it. I entered into a bad loan and was one of those people that got an interest only ARM loan. So, I have no equity. The arm is set to go sky high in 2011. Two years ago, I met my now wife. We got married, I tried to sell the condo two years ago with no luck. So, I rented it and moved

Filing a motion with no lawyer
Question, If I have exhausted my funds prior to filing a motion in court on mediation and all the documents needed for a motion with my attorney, can I let me attorney go and just represent myself? I mean if my ex has denied everything in mediation and I have nothing to lose at this point and only stuff to gain, would it be so bad to file the motion

Re: Can I get in trouble by courts if I put child on plane U...
Does your order specify every 4 weeks or just one weekend a month and then do you and your ex just pick that weekend together? How long do you usually go in between visits? Currently, I have 2 weeks in summer and my ex gets 12 weeks. (private school) In mediation, she only agreed to give me 1 week more, ( I asked for 2 more). Ex does not work in the

Re: Can I get in trouble by courts if I put child on plane U...
Thank you. That sounds like a good plan. I actually do know the family in my daughter's state, that has the daughter who is friends with my daughter. So, I think that family would let her come because they know me and my wife well. This sounds like the way to go. Wish me luck....

Re: Can I get in trouble by courts if I put child on plane U...
Okay, I guess I will forget about the halfway. I am going to focus on the UAM. May I ask, what do you think would be reasonable for how often she should fly UAM from New Jersey to Boston? Which do you think is easier or better for her? Every three weeks or every four weeks? Every four weeks would be less flying UAM by herself all year long, but she
