Re: Prevention procedure before marriage
We don't address canadian law here, but divorce generally takes place where a couple resides; no way of telling whether canadian law will apply to your pre-nup written "back there", wherever that may be. Your best bet is to consult with a candian lawyer.

Re: Possible domestic abuse
Have you gone over WHILE the noise is in progress? Rushing over with an "OMG! What is happening?!" will let them know their every move is being heard while giving you a chance to observe the situation as the concerned neighbor. If someone is being hurt, I'd call even if the idiots "reject" you; who needs possible abusers?

Re: Emancipation
In general, kids need to be self-supporting for a court to officially emanciapte them...is he?; but I agree this is not an emanciaption situation but rather a divorce decree stipulation...have you read the decree carefully?

Re: Overnight Visits with unmarried individuals
I assume the decree says no overnight guests of the opposite sex while the kids are there? Not just when you are without the kids? That's the usual scenario and it must be with your agreement or the judge's decision, not her decision alone or you could have fought it. Well, the worst that can happen is that the court may take away your visitation

Re: Just Hired and curious
"with all do respect to all I should not have to jump through these hoops to know this information." Agree. You'll have to ask politely ( a little humour often goes a long way and doesn't come off accusatory if the boss is a jerk), but if the response leads you to continue to think he's disrespectful and unprofessional, you're

Re: "Stolen Property"?
In most jurisdictions, property purchased while legally married technically belongs to both...it's marital property. He needs to get to court, as stated by police, but it needs to be divorce court....regular civil court will not address this as long as they are married.

Re: Unwed Fathers Parental Rights for an unborn fetus?
He can't force anything legal until the baby is born...but be aware, THEN he'll legally be in you and the child's life forever with his controlling attitude. You can't revoke his parental rights to his child. And he can't legally stop you from having an abortion.

I'd contact the EEOC and see what they say about it.

Re: Abuse in the CP's home
Definitely between a rock and a hard place, but you can't do anything about it without making her mad. You'll have to call children's protective services to help your kids. Being under someone's watchful eye is better than NO one knowing what is going on there...I would do so before something terrible happens. And it establishes the
