• Re: questions on job application

OK, thanks. Yes, that's the argument my friend gave me when she spoke to me about the illegality of those questions. She said 'I think they can only ask the dates, etc., and length of employment.' I wasn't sure so I didn't comment on that one, but I did tell her that I am not sure about the question regarding termination of employment

ok, now here's another question: if the prospective employer calls previous employers, is it legal for him to ask the reason for termination?
Instead of foreclosure the HOA might be better off suing in small claims court, getting a judgment, garnishing wages, levying bank accounts, etc.
Since she has no extra money outside of her pension and is living from dollar to dollar each month, I'd appreciate it if you could explain how the HOA might

She is not that much in arrears and is willing and able to pay them back, but I'm going to speak in her behalf to the HOA and the attorney's office to see if they won't cut the fees. If they don't, well then, she'll have

Kivi, I think you're right. The letter from the attorney's office stated something about a lien, removing the lien and charges like that. Then they threatened foreclosure. I, in her behalf, am going to call the attorney's office Monday as well as the HOA to see if we can't negotiate something without all those extra charges. They are

The letter to her came from the P.A.'s office which is also a collection business. So ... again ... IF they start foreclosure proceedings which they really stupidly threatened (reminding me of the old movies with the widow being thrown out of the house by the bank, because ... the lady is PAYING, she's only slightly behind...and is P A Y I N

Yeah ... possibly. But what would they GAIN by foreclosing if it would be sold first for payback mortgage money? Chances are it wouldn't sell so fast either and would stalemate. That is my question.
